2,000 Event Staff In-store Promotion: Safe Promotional Campaigns during Coronavirus

Like many other industries and job positions, the instore promotion made significant changes. Every day we work hard to follow the new Government’s health and safety guidelines so that we can keep working, guaranteeing our event staff, our clients and the public’s safety.

We all learnt to wear a face mask (both indoors and outdoors…that means covering your nose too!) and observing social distancing measures. However, what do these changes imply for an in-store promotion? And most of all, how does the promo change, based on the relationship between the promoter, brand ambassador and target audience? Is it possible to still maintain marketing goals and therefore, the interaction with your future clients?

Let’s find out in the next paragraphs, keeping an eye out for all details that can’t be left out your in-store promotional campaign.

Rox Event Staff is the only event staffing agency in the UK that helps you take the headache out of staffing and event marketing in one place.

All our Event Staff took the mass gathering course by WHO, which is now mandatory for them to work with us.

Creating engagement while observing safety measures

Anyone that worked on a marketing campaign focused on instore promotion knows precisely how vital engagement is between promoters or brand ambassadors and clients. This relationship is fundamental to reach set-goals. However, being ourselves extremely cautious about Covid-19 measures, we had to rethink about some vital aspects of our promotional activities, to guarantee safety first and still a significant outcome of the whole campaign.

First of all, we provide all our event staff individual PPE such as gloves and single-use face masks, to substitute during the marketing activity, if this goes beyond four hours.

Just like instore, we provide our ‘promotional corners’ with sanitising hand gel, available for both hour staff and all clients they will interact with.

All our 2,000 temporary event staff took the mass gathering training by WHO and know precisely how to keep social distancing, with other staff, clients and the public, in addition to understanding how to handle potentially dangerous situations associated with Covid-19. For a marketing campaign distributing gadgets or freebies, our event staff is instructed not to distribute them directly but letting clients help themselves, after having sanities the stand.

Respecting these simple guidelines, as we already tested post first lockdown, clients can still get to know your product or brand, avoiding risks without reducing of damaging the goals you set for your marketing and promotional campaign.

Our promise of safety and professionalism

Before assigning event staff to any of our clients’ campaigns, we make sure they are appropriately trained. In fact, for each assignment, our event staff won’t just receive a written briefing with all details and objectives of the campaign, but also a personalised training for health and safety as explained here, which is absolutely a priority.
